Bonterra’s 10,541-hectare Gladiator Gold Project is located in the Urban-Barry Greenstone Belt within the Abitibi Subprovince.

BTR Quebec Map

Major regional crustal shear zones cross the Abitibi and is considered the plumbing system for these significant gold deposits. A related splay of a major shear zones crosses this greenstone belt, which helped fertilize the area with gold. Bonterra’s Gladiator Project is comprised of the Gladiator Deposit and the Coliseum properties. The project is located approximately 170 km NE of Val-d’Or and 125 km SW of Chibougamau in the Urban, Barry and Bailly townships in Québec.

Greenstone Map

The Gladiator Deposit is described as a highly silicified and altered sheared mafic volcanics, locally exhibiting intrusions of syenite and quartz porphyry. Smoky quartz veining also occurs locally containing the bulk of the mineralization and free gold. Mineralization consists of minor (trace to 2%) pyrite, chalcopyrite and yellow sphalerite throughout but especially in and near the contacts with the quartz veining.

The Gladiator Deposit remains open in all directions with drilled dimensions currently outlined to a depth of 1,000 meters with a strike length of 1,200 meters. At least six distinct subparallel zones or mineralized horizons have been identified.

A resource expansion drill program is underway with over 70,000 meters planned in 2018 utilizing a minimum of six drill rigs. An updated Mineral Resource Estimate is planned for the second half of 2018.

Using a 4 g/t Au cut-off grade, the project currently contains an inferred resource of 905,000 tonnes, grading 9.37 g/t Au for 273,000 ounces of gold. Mineral Resource Estimate and technical report filed July 27, 2012, Snowden Mining Consultants.
